With more than 25 years of experience in forklifts, our team includes instructors who receive a high standard of training, and who can pass on their experience to your own personnel. We’re available to provide your workforce with onsite and offsite forklift training, and to equip them with the skills needed to operate forklifts in a safe, controlled and legal manner.
Onsite and offsite forklift training helps to create a safer working environment in all commercial premises including factories and warehouses
In addition to Crawley, Gatwick Forklifts can also provide onsite and offsite training in the surrounding Banbury, Brighton, Crawley, Croydon, Dartford, East Grinstead, Epsom, Guildford, High Wycombe, Horsham, Leatherhead, Reading, Redhill, Sittingbourne, Slough and Tunbridge Wells areas.
The instructors at Gatwick Forklifts help your staff to sit forklift training courses as part of a complete service range. Customers and clients in Crawley and the immediate Hampshire, Kent, Surrey and Sussex areas, as well as those across the South East region, will learn how to use counterbalanced forklifts, the most common machinery used for lifting and handling materials in UK workplaces.
These courses, approved by the Road Transport Industry Training Board (RTITB), focus on efficiency, user safety and risk assessments. Forklift training also comes accredited by the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
Up to 8,000 reported injuries occur in the workplace each year which relate to forklifts, ranging from sprains and fractures to fatalities. To stop hazards in your own working environment, we recommend professional training courses as part of a forklift service that represents a sensible investment for commercial and industrial clients alike.
In addition to limiting the fines and costs incurred by employers, companies receive important recognition for complying with HSE regulations whenever they use our company, and our instructors, for forklift training.
Our services include forklift training courses which cover theory-based applications, practical demonstrations, exercises, assessments and additional material, including PowerPoint presentations and informative DVD footage. Our educational approach benefits clients across all Crawley and South East areas in the following ways:
including the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) and Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment (LOLER)
including the controls and components of common forklift models
on coolants, lubrication, fuels and refuelling systems
and manoeuvring forklifts across ramps
for loading and unloading materials, including the management of loads in different shapes and sizes for static racking
